Healthier Options on the Burger Planet Menu
Jayne Petersen and Corny the Clown make a dynamic duo.

GARY, Indiana – Quick service restaurant chain, Burger Planet, adds Jayne Petersen to their team to help promote the healthy additions to their menu. Petersen, fitness guru and president of Looking Glass, Inc., will be teaming up with Burger Planet's beloved mascot, Corny the Clown. Best known for her appearances on Opal Whitcomb's show, Petersen has dedicated her life to teaching customers about healthier lifestyles and is excited to be working with Burger Planet. "The great thing about Burger Planet," Petersen explains, "is that they have a wide variety of options. You can choose the classic burger and fries or you can switch it up and have a white meat chicken breast sandwich with pineapple chunks."

Burger Planet is energized by their new, diverse menu and the addition of Jayne Petersen to their team. They hope that Petersen's influence with the company will expand the company's focus on healthy lifestyles. Starting in May, Petersen will be touring with Corny the Clown doing healthy eating and activity events.

James E. Muellenbach III, CEO of Burger Planet wants to make it known that the addition of Jayne Petersen to the Burger Planet team is a move in a very positive direction. "We like the new variety we have to offer, and we love that Jayne is working with our head chef to enhance our healthy menu options." These new menu options will include a variety of fruit packages, three different low-carb salads, and white meat chicken breasts. The classic menu items, such as the Saturn burger, now have the option of removing the bun or switching the fries for a fruit package.

Founded in 1943, Burger Planet had, at last count, 8,921 franchises in every state and 17 countries. The company employs 48,272 people and has served more than 52 billion customers. The company founder, James Muellenbach I is now retired and is serving as president of the Quick Service Chain Association. His grandson, James E. Muellenbach III is the current CEO.

  1. Solid press release. My only advice is to shorten the paragraphs up a bit. The lead, just like with news writing, should only be about 35 words. All in all really solid, accomplished every goal you had.
